Tavern Scene - Scene 3
For the 3rd scene I had decided to add some verticality by modelling a staircase that would lead up to some bedrooms within the tavern. Here I would have the opportunity to add actors in the final stages at different intervals of the scene to add visual interest. I also knew I would move on eventually to an interior bedroom scene so in order to setup that, this scene needed to be in place first so that the story can progress from the main tavern area and into the bedroom.
After feedback from Josh I decided to remodel this before going any further, the scene felt too big compared to the ones that had already come before it and the height was off. Below are screenshots of the progression into the remodel and texture of the newly revised scene.
The rework to the scene felt a lot better in terms of scale, while keeping the verticality and visual interest. As you can see from the screenshots I carried over the gritty realism texturing style to keep within the theme of the previous scene, as well as to have a cohesive visual format that linked the scenes together and made them look as if they fit in the same place.
